Matthew Eyre

Matthew is Chartered Fire Engineer and Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE). 

Matthew started his career in Australia in 2010 and has worked on a range of British and international projects, including projects in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Papa New Guinea, and Qatar.

Originally gaining fire safety engineer accreditation and Chartered Engineer status in Australia, he has also gained Chartered status in the UK via the IFE. He is an active contributor to the IFE and volunteers by reviewing and providing feedback on Chartership applications.

Now based in Manchester, he leads a range of UK projects from high rise residential buildings and high rise office buildings, to heritage cultural centres and smaller developments. He is experienced with performance-based fire engineering design, fire strategies, fire safety statements, fire safety audits and inspections, and fire risk assessments. 

He adopts a range of qualitative and quantitative assessment methodologies, including CFD and evacuation modelling, when required.
