Coleg Cambria, Deeside Campus is a college catering to students aged 14-19. The campus consists of 17 blocks, with the main building featuring 8 interconnected blocks. Coleg Cambria includes the award-winning Engineering Centre of Excellence that is one of the best engineering training facilities in the UK. The campus has a wide range of facilities, including classrooms, staff offices, car motor workshop, engineering workshop, joinery and woodworking areas and plumbing and heating facilities.
Alt Fire was appointed by the college to develop a retrospective fire strategy for the engineering and main blocks of Coleg Cambria, Deeside. Site surveys of the existing buildings were conducted to gather key information and a retrospective fire strategy developed in consultation with the building management team. The retrospective fire strategy addresses some of the college’s immediate concerns and can also be used as a basis for developing management plans, undertaking periodic fire risk assessments, informing works and developments, and providing a documented basis for all stakeholders to work from.
